Happy Summer, Everyone!
On this hot and toasty morning, my coffee cup is full, my journal is open, and I’m making calendar entries that cover the next six months. I hope you’re having a great morning as well. I’m happy to report that my entries include to-dos for the upcoming release of Imagine, the next novel in my romantic suspense series that features Black Raven Private Security Contractors. The action in each book in the series revolves around a Black Raven job; in Imagine, the action takes place on a Christmas-themed gambling cruise. I’m planning to have the book available in October, with eBook preorder in September. I’m so excited about this new release!
A Sneak Peek of My New Novel, Imagine
In Imagine, seventy-five of the world’s wealthiest gamblers are playing in a high-stakes gambling tournament aboard an extravagant cruise ship that has departed from Macau, China. The ship is named Imagine; it is the latest resort-casino built by Imagine Casinos Worldwide, and this is the ship’s inaugural cruise.
The ship’s itinerary spans three days in the South China Sea. On this cruise, there are no sunny ports of call. No beach destinations. It’s Christmas time, but Imagine’s guests aren’t noticing the holiday decorations. Within the casino, with each roll of the dice, gamblers are risking millions to beat the house and each other as the ship sails through dark, roiling sea.
With that much wealth accumulated in one place, no expense has been spared on safety precautions. What could possibly go wrong?
Well, if you’ve read the earlier novels in the Black Raven romantic suspense series, you know that all kinds of things can, and will, go wrong. But I’m not planning on telling Imagine’s whole story here. Let me just say that it is really fortunate for Imagine’s guests that a contingent of agents from Black Raven Private Security Contractors is on board.
Well, if you’ve read my earlier novels in the Black Raven romantic suspense series, you know that all kinds of things can, and will, go wrong. But I’m not planning on telling Imagine’s whole story here. Let me just say that it is really fortunate for Imagine’s guests that a contingent of agents from Black Raven Private Security Contractors is on board.
Within that team of highly-skilled Black Raven agents, you’ll meet Adam Evans (Ace) and Sylvia Leon (Leo). Ace and Leo have been friends ever since Ace joined the security firm two years ago. Yes-that’s right-Ace and Leo are just friends. They’re good friends, but just friends. They might even be the best friend each other has ever had, but they are only friends. Or so they think…until one long, slow kiss changes everything.
Unfortunately for Ace and Leo, their awakening regarding the possibilities of something more than a friendship comes as all hell breaks loose aboard Imagine, where the odds of survival quickly become as unpredictable as the roll of dice.
More Black Raven News
I’ve loved getting to know Ace and Leo in Imagine, and they’re such powerful characters they are also going to take the lead in the next book in my Black Raven romantic suspense series, Insertion. There will be plenty more about Insertion later. For now, I’m planning Imagine’s cover reveal (August), the eBook presale date (September), and the release date (October). Like the earlier novels in the romantic suspense series, Imagine will be available at Amazon in print, eBook, and for free in Kindle Unlimited.
Please stay tuned here and on Facebook for details. Also, be on the lookout for a fantastic summer reading giveaway that I’m hosting at the end of June, beginning of July.
In the meantime, have a great summer!
Black Raven Romantic Suspense Series Order
p.s. If you’ve read my earlier novels, you caught a brief glimpse of Ace in Concierge. Leo made an appearance in both Jigsaw and Concierge. Also, while I hope that you read and enjoy all of my novels, Imagine and Insertion will be stand-alone novels that can be read out of order, and you don’t have to read my earlier novels before you read these. However, if you’re interested in the order in which the stories in the Black Raven romantic suspense series were written, here it is:
- Deceived (Introducing Black Raven) – released in 2014
- Shadows (Black Raven Book One) – released in 2015
- Jigsaw (Black Raven Book Two) – released in 2016
- Concierge (Black Raven Book Three) – released in 2017
- Imagine (Black Raven Book Four)- to be released in October 2018
- Insertion (Black Raven Book Five) – to be released in early 2019

Hi Crystal – I’m planning a future story where most of the characters from the other books make an appearance. In the meantime, a few characters will move in and out of each story, so that the Black Raven job that is the subject of the story runs smoothly. Thank you for commenting here – I’m happy to hear that you like my novels! Stay in touch!
You are a gem! I love your writing and characters development. Not that Jigsaw was sad but. what you wrote as Zeus’s video to his daughter was so precious, I shed a few tears! I never cry at books.
Hi Dee Ann – I loved writing that scene. I rewrote it multiple times, trying hard for the right feel for that father/daughter moment. I’m so glad you liked it! Thank you for letting me know – Stella
